“TinRoof has really helped us identify what’s important in what we offer and how to connect with and explain this to a wider public.”

Dr. Andy Ambrose, Executive Director,
The Tubman Museum

OBJECTIVE: The Tubman African American Museum in Macon, Georgia, needed to stir the imagination of the community, lay the foundation for expanding its educational and cultural role regionally and nationally, and raise capital for phase two of their expansion.

ACTION: TinRoof designed and executed a compelling capital campaign, including print and out-of-home advertising, that spoke to African American courage and focused on the powerful benefits to visitors of the Tubman Museum experience.

RESOLUTION: The Museum’s public profile has been raised, its staff and supporters motivated, and more than half of the capital needed for its expansion has been secured ahead of schedule. The new 49,000 square-foot state-of-the-art Museum is scheduled to open to the public in 2014.
